Junior infielder Michael Toglia from the UCLA baseball team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Apr. 8-14.

Toglia led the top-ranked Bruins to a perfect 4-0 week, including a sweep over No. 8 East Carolina, going 7-15 with four extra-base hits and a .467/.569/1.000 slash line overall. On Friday night, he drove in five runs to lead a come-from-behind effort against ECU, hitting a three-run home run to tie the game in the sixth inning and a two-run double off the left field wall in the eighth. The 5-RBI performance was his second in a week and fourth in his career. For an encore, Toglia hit a walk-off three-run home run to defeat the Pirates 8-5 in the opening game of Saturday's doubleheader. The walk-off was UCLA's first since 2016.

This is Toglia's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week award this season and of his career.
