AZUSA, Calif. – It was a career day for Christina Chenault at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Thursday afternoon, as she mustered collegiate bests in the 800m, long jump and javelin en route to winning the heptathlon.
 
Chenault's final tally of 5,585 points was a career best and the 10th-best mark in program history.
 
She started the day by winning the long jump with a mark of 5.88m (19-3.5). She followed that up with a second-place finish and PR in the javelin (38.78m; 127-2) before winning the 800m with a collegiate-best time of 2:11.40.
 
On Wednesday, Chenault PR'ed in the 100m hurdles and rose to first place with a score of 3,184 points. She never relinquished her lead on the way to bringing home the heptathlon triumph.
