UNCANSVILLE, Conn. – In her first career WNBA game, Kennedy Burke led the Dallas Wings in scoring with 11 points during their preseason game against the Atlanta Dream on Monday afternoon.
Burke, who was selected as the 22nd overall pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft, saw 16 minutes and 19 seconds of action. She scored her first bucket in the second quarter on a layup at the 7:39 mark. Burke, the only player in double figures for the Wings, went on to shoot 4-for-10 from the field and also had one block, an assist and one steal.
With Dallas' Cayla George sporting No. 22, Burke wore No. 44 in her WNBA debut. She competed against former teammate Monique Billings, who had six points for the Dream off the bench.
Atlanta went on to win the preseason affair, 82-59.
Burke and the Wings return to action tomorrow against the Connecticut Sun at 7 p.m. (ET) / 4 p.m. (PT).
