FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Bruins finished up play at the NCAA Championship on Monday at Blessings Golf Club, concluding the tournament in 20th place (+65, 941). UCLA shot a 26-over 318 as a team.
Sophomore Patty Tavatanakit was the top finisher for the Bruins, tying for 43rd (+11, 230). She shot a 5-over 78 on an eagle on the par-5 7th, two birdies, seven bogeys and a double. Senior Beth Wu tied for 73rd (+16, 235), shooting a 6-over 79 on a birdie on the third hole, three bogeys and two doubles. Junior Mariel Galdiano tied for 93rd (+20, 239), posting a 9-over 82 on two birdies (No. 13 and 8), five bogeys and three doubles. Freshman Phoebe Yue tied for 113th (+25, 244), recording a 6-over 79 on three bogeys and a triple. Junior Clare Legaspi tied for 118th (+26, 245), shooting an 11-over 84 on one birdie (No. 2), eight bogeys and two doubles.
