Former UCLA standout Kevon Looney has helped lead the Golden State Warriors to their fifth consecutive appearance in the NBA Finals.
 
Looney, who competed for the Bruins as a freshman in 2014-15, registered 12 points and 14 rebounds in the Warriors' Game 4 victory on Monday evening. He averaged 10.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in the four-game series sweep against the Portland Trail Blazers.
 
Now in his fourth NBA season (all with Golden State), Looney has registered 7.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 16 postseason games this season. During the regular season, he recorded 6.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, playing in 80 of Golden State's 82 contests (making 24 starts).
 
With Looney helping Golden State secure the Western Conference Title, UCLA has now had at least one former player propel his NBA team to the NBA Finals 59 times. Looney is already one of six UCLA players to have guided his respective NBA team to at least two NBA titles (joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jamaal Wilkes, Willie Naulls, Bill Walton and Jordan Farmar in that category).
 
In addition to Looney, UCLA's basketball program is also represented with Golden State by Bob Myers, the organization's President of Basketball Operations/General Manager. Myers played for UCLA from 1995-98. He has been an integral member of Golden State's front office since joining the organization in 2011.
 
Golden State will face either the Milwaukee Bucks or the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals. The best-of-seven final series will begin Thursday, May 30, in either Toronto or Milwaukee.
