The Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup is an industry standard measure of broad-based excellence that was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. Schools can count 19 sports in their total, four of which must be baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball and women's volleyball.
A total of 10 UCLA teams finished in the Top 10 nationally: Beach Volleyball (1st), Softball (1st), Gymnastics (3rd), Men's Water Polo (T-3rd), Women's Water Polo (T-3rd), Women's Soccer (T-5th), Women's Tennis (T-5th), Women's Basketball (T-9th), Men's Tennis (T-9th), and Baseball (T-9th). Eight other Bruin teams contributed points to the Directors' Cup point total – men's soccer, women's swimming & diving, women's indoor track & field, men's indoor track & field, women's golf, men's golf, women's outdoor track & field, and men's outdoor track & field.
In addition to UCLA's NCAA postseason success, four Bruin teams won Pac-12 Conference championships – gymnastics, men's tennis (regular season), softball and baseball. Six student-athletes won NCAA individual titles – diver Maria Polyakova (3M), gymnast Kyla Ross (vault, floor exercise), men's tennis players Maxime Cressy and Keegan Smith (doubles), and women's tennis players Gabby Andrews and Ayan Broomfield (doubles).
