LOS ANGELES – Five members of the UCLA swimming and diving team have been honored as CSCAA Scholar All-Americans for the 2018-19 season. 

Junior Maisie Jameson, junior Kenisha Liu, freshman Delaney Smith, senior Sandra Soe, and senior Traci Shiver all picked up recognition from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America. The first four were named to the First Team while Shiver earned an honorable mention.

To earn First Team status, student-athletes must achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and compete at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable mentions maintained a 3.50 or higher GPA and recorded a "B" time standard or competed at an NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier.

Soe earned Scholar All-America status for the fourth time in her four years on campus, while Shiver was honored for a second straight season. Jameson, Liu, and Smith were all tabbed by the CSCAA for the first time in their careers.

Earlier this season, 14 Bruins were named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Team, led by senior Elena Escalas who was tabbed to the Second Team. Escalas and sophomore Emma Cain each earned individual awards at the 2019 UCLA Scholar-Athlete Banquet in May.
