QUERETARO, Mexico – Alyssa Wilson represented USA at the 2019 NACAC U23 Championships, and she came away with the hammer throw title, while taking second in the shot put.
Although the NCAA Outdoor Championships are in the rearview, many of the nation's top stars were in action, including Wilson, who captured first place in the hammer throw with a mark of 63.95m (209-9). She continued to battle in the shot put, placing second with a throw of 16.73m (54-10.75).
It was a standout outdoor season for Wilson, who was the lone athlete to qualify for three events at the NCAA Championships in Austin. She was a three-time First Team All-American, notching top-eight finishes in the hammer, shot put and discus. She was also the Pac-12 Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year and the USTFCCCA West Regional Women's Field Athlete of the Year.
