BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The UCLA men's water polo team will open the 2019 season at No. 2 in the Preseason National Men's Varsity Top 20 Poll as announced by the CWPA today. The Bruins are tied for the second spot with 2018 NCAA runner-up Stanford with 92 points. Wolf, who spent the entire summer with the Senior Men's National Team, was also named First Team All-NCAA Tournament, First Team All-MPSF, and MPSF All-Tournament Team in 2018. He led the MPSF in goals against average (6.79) and was second in saves per game (11.05). Saveljic was also named Second Team All-MPSF, and MPSF All-Tournament Team. He finished ninth in the MPSF in scoring (led the team) with 51 goals (1.82 gpg) and also led the Bruins in steals with 24 and in sprints won (23-8).

Harvard (45 points) is the first non-Golden State institution to appear in the Top 20 for the second straight season as the Crimson hold down the No. 11 spot. Princeton (44 points), UC Irvine (36 points), Loyola Marymount (33 points) and George Washington (29 points) follow at No. 12 to 15.
