Junior forward Milan Iloski of the UCLA men's soccer team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Sept. 3-Sept. 8. In addition, Iloski picked up a slew of honors from local and national outlets including being named the national Player of the Week by both TopDrawerSoccer and College Soccer News as well as the Pac-12 Player of the Week.

Iloski was instrumental in UCLA's 3-2 win over defending national champion and then-No. 1 ranked Maryland on Friday night. The Escondido, Calif. native recorded all three of UCLA's goals in the win, recording the first hat trick by a Bruin since the 2011 season.

His exploits helped UCLA earn their first victory over a No. 1-ranked team since Sept. 5, 2016 (6-1 over Akron) and their first win over a defending national champion since Sept. 1, 2013 (1-0 over Indiana).

Friday's game was a standout effort in what has been a red-hot start to the 2019 campaign for Iloski. In just four games, Iloski has recorded career-highs in both goals (five) and points (11). He is just one goal off the national lead and has two more scores than any other Pac-12 player.

This is Iloski's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week award of the season and second of his career.

Also nominated: Bernardo Maurizi, M. Water Polo; Mac May, W. Volleyball.
