
Freshman forward Mia Fishel of the UCLA women's soccer team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 7-13.
Fishel came off the bench to score three goals in two games as UCLA recorded a pair of shutout victories over Colorado and Utah. Fishel scored the second goal in the Bruins' 3-0 win over Colorado and then provided all of the scoring in the 2-0 win over Utah. The freshman from San Diego now leads the Bruins in goals scored (seven) and game-winning goals (three) and is tied for the team lead in points scored with 16.
This is Fishel's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week award of the season and of her career.
