Ahead of the season-finale Symetra Tour Championship, Patty Tavatanakit was named the Gaelle Truet Rookie of the Year on Wednesday.

In just 10 events this season, Tavatanakit, who turned pro following the end of her sophomore collegiate season in May, is second on the money list with just over $116,000 in earnings and less than $5,000 behind first place. Tavatanakit has won three times during the 2019 season, going back-to-back in July at the Donald Ross Classic at French Lick Resort and the Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic. She also triumphed in August at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge. Tavatanakit also has a second-place finish at the Prasco Charity Championship and a T-5 showing last week at the IOA Golf Classic.

Tavatanakit has already secured her LPGA Tour card for the 2020 season, as she is guaranteed to finish inside the Symetra Tour's Volvik Race for the Card Top 10.
