MVB Announces 2020 Schedule

In addition to the always tough Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) contests, the 2020 UCLA men's volleyball slate features non-conference home-and-home matches against four Big West Conference squads, including defending national champion Long Beach State, battles with teams from the Midwestern Collegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA), including past national champions from Ohio State and Penn State along with contests versus Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) teams, including Princeton and this year's NCAA Championship host George Mason.
The non-conference home schedule is highlighted by matches against 2019 NCAA Tournament participants Long Beach State on Feb. 29 and Princeton, in the home opener, on January 30. The Bruins will also welcome UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 19, CSUN on Mar. 5 and UC San Diego on Mar. 7. UCLA opens the MPSF conference season with a February 6 match at BYU. Defending MPSF champion Pepperdine comes to Pauley Pavilion on Mar. 25.
The Bruins open the season with a road trip at Daemen College (Buffalo, N.Y.) on Jan. 2, before heading south to play at George Mason on Jan. 4 and then at Princeton on Jan. 6. UCLA will also travel to meet MIVA rivals Penn State and Ohio State at the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge at State College, Pa. on Jan. 24 and Jan. 26.
The MPSF post-season begins on Apr. 18 with quarterfinal matches. The league semifinals and finals will be played on Apr. 23 and 25. George Mason (Fairfax, Va.) hosts this year's NCAA semifinals and finals on May 7 and 9.
