Parker Selected Pac-12 Defensive Player of Week

Junior Lucy Parker has been selected by the Pac-12 Conference as the Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Parker, who was also named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week,ย led the Bruins to a pair of shutout road victories at Oregon State and at Oregon. Parker and the UCLA defense limited Oregon State to just three shots on goal in the game and nine shots overall. Against Oregon, Parker not only helped limit the Ducks to just four shots overall and two shots on goal, but she also scored the game's only goal in the first half off a corner kick. The game-winning goal was her second of the season. With the two shutouts, the Bruins improved their team goals against average to 0.71 and extended their winning streak to four games.
The Bruins conclude the regular season on Friday, Nov. 8 against USC at 6pm at Wallis Annenberg Stadium.
