Seven Bruins Named to Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll

December 19, 2019 | Women's Soccer

A total of seven UCLA women's soccer players were named to the inaugural Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll for their work in the classroom.

Leading the list of Bruins is 2019 Pac-12 Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year Kaiya McCullough, who just completed her undergraduate studies in political science. She is joined by fellow seniors Sunny Dunphy (physiological science), Teagan Micah (psychology) and Jacey Pederson (sociology). All four seniors earned their third career Pac-12 academic honor.

Also joining them on the honor roll are junior Olivia Athens (economics), redshirt sophomore Lauren Brzykcy (sociology) and redshirt freshman Cassidy Tshimbalanga (undeclared). Athens and Brzykcy had previously earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors last season.

The Academic Honor Roll consists of all student-athletes on his or her respective team roster with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above. The student-athletes must have served at least one year in residence at the institution to be eligible to receive honors. A total of 43 Bruins across five sports (men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball) earned honor roll distinction.
