Onyenwere Selected Pac-12 Player of Week

Junior forward Michaela Onyenwere received her first-ever Pac-12 Player of the Week honor after averaging 22 points and 10 rebounds in road wins over Georgia and No. 12 Indiana.
Onyewere scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds against the Bulldogs in a 59-50 win. She tallied 25 points, including 19 in the second half, and had 11 rebounds vs. the Hoosiers in a 68-58 victory. The double-double was her third this season and 19th of her career. The 25 points at Indiana marked the sixth time this season and the 24th time in her career that she has scored 20 or more points in a game.

Behind Onyenwere's play, the Bruins improved to 11-0 on the year, just one victory shy of tying the school record of 12-0 to start a season, made by the 1980-81 squad. Onyenwere is averaging 19.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, both team-highs.
This is Onyenwere's first player of the week honor and the 60th all-time for UCLA. Onyenwere joins Japreece Dean as one of two Bruins to win weekly honors this season.
