LOS ANGELES – UCLA junior Ruby Neave has been named the Pac-12 Diver of the Month for November, the league office announced on Wednesday.

The league honor is the first of Neave's career. The Melbourne, Australia native made her collegiate debut in November after missing her first two competitive seasons at UCLA due to injury.

Neave was a standout at all four meets in which she competed last month.

In her collegiate debut at Arizona on Nov. 1, she won the 1-meter diving championship with a score of 271.95 while finishing runner-up in 3M at 250.20. Her 1M score punched her tickets to NCAA Zones, making her the first Bruin to do so in the 2019-20 campaign. Neave followed that up by sweeping the 1M (285.60) and 3M (259.95) championships the next day at Arizona State.

Later in the month, she added strong performances at larger invitational meets. At the Trojan Diving Invitational on Nov. 8, she beat out a field of 38 entrants to claim the 1M title with a score of 277.80.  Neave was also the fourth-place finisher in 3M with a season-high score of 315.90.

She completed November with a runner-up finish in the 1M championship at the OSU Invitational, a field featuring 35 entries. Her final score in that event was 284.75.
