Grant Sloane is a 6-8 outside hitter from Northwood High School in Irvine, Calif. He was a top-five vote getter on VolleyballMag.com's list of Boys 25 Underclassmen to Watch. Sloane was selected to the 2019 SCVA High Performance program and his Boys International Division team finished third under the guidance of UCLA Asst. Coach John Hawks. He was also named to the Boys Youth International Division All-Tournament team at the 2018 High Performance Championships playing for USA A1. Sloane plays for Orange Coast Volleyball Club.

Miles Partain is a 6-3 setter / opposite from Palisades High School in Pacific Palisades, Calif. He was named one of VolleyballMag.com's Boys 25 Underclassmen to Watch. Partain has been on back-to-back CIF D1 City Section Championships. His SCVA team, coached by UCLA Asst. Coach John Hawks, placed first at the 2018 Boys Youth International Division at the High Performance Championships. At age 15, he and his older brother, Marcus (then 17 and now a Bruin), became the youngest pair to ever advance to the main draw of an AVP beach event. Partain was recently named 2019 VolleyballMag.com Rookie of the Year and 2019 AVP Rookie of the Year.  He played for Pac6 Volleyball Club

Ethan Champlin is a 6-3 outside hitter from Classical Academy High School in Escondido, Calif. He won back-to-back CIF Section titles in high school. Champlin was selected to the 2019 SCVA High Performance All-Tournament team after his squad, under the direction of UCLA Asst. Coach John Hawks, finished third in the Boys Youth International Division. He plays for Coast Volleyball Club.

Guy Genis is a 6-5 middle blocker from Alliance High School in Tel Aviv, Israel. He is currently playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv with former Bruin great and recent graduate, Dylan Missry. Genis has been with them for the past four seasons as the starting middle blocker. He is a gifted athlete with great quickness laterally and long arms. He is currently finishing his military commitment in the Israeli Army.

"We have really put together another outstanding class," said Coach Speraw. "This is a mature group of men made up of high achievers in the classroom, in the community and on the court. They bring an extremely high level of commitment to the gym and will seamlessly add to the tremendous culture currently at UCLA. We are thrilled to welcome them to UCLA and we look for this group of men to achieve wonderful things."

UCLA, ranked No. 2 in the AVCA Coaches Preseason Poll, will open the 2020 men's volleyball season on January 2nd at Daemen College in Buffalo, N.Y. The first home match of the new season will be against No. 10 Princeton on January 30th in the Wooden Center.
