Robert Brandt now holds two indoor school records (3000m, 5000m).
Brandt Shatters School Record in 3000m at MPSF Championships

SEATTLE – Robert Brandt broke UCLA's indoor record for the 3000m, and the UCLA track & field men earned a second-place finish at the MPSF Indoor Championships on Saturday afternoon.
UCLA's second-place finish was the highest since the 2010 season, when the Bruins won the meet for the second season in row between 2009-10.
Brandt, who demolished the Bruin record for the 5000m earlier this season, crossed the finish line at the 7:50.27 mark, topping Austin Ramos' time of 7:55.60 set in 2008.
It total, the Bruin men collected four event victories – Brandt's triumphs in the 3000m and 5000m, Sondre Guttormsen in the pole vault and Justin Stafford in the weight throw.
Dotun Ogundeji PR'ed in the shot put on Saturday, registering a throw of 19.84m (65-1.25) to take third overall and solidify his spot at No. 5 in program history.
On the women's side, the Bruins took 13th place with 20 points, led by a second-place finish in the 5000m by Christina Rice, who clocked a life-time best 16:31.55, improving her No. 3 ranking in the record books.
Ashlie Blake took third in the shot put, throwing 16.59m (54-5.25) on her first attempt to collect six points for the Bruins.

The NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships are slated for March 8-9 in Birmingham, Ala.
