UCLA's Football Season Opener Moved to Thursday Night

February 07, 2019 | General

UCLA's season-opening football game at Cincinnati has been moved to Thursday, Aug. 29 to accommodate a national television broadcast by ESPN. The Bruins will return home the following Saturday, Sept. 7, to meet San Diego State. The non-conference portion of the schedule concludes Sept. 14 against Oklahoma, which last faced UCLA at the Rose Bowl in 2005.

Pac-12 play begins with back-to-back road games at Washington State (Sept. 21) and Arizona (Sept. 28). The month of October kicks off with a conference home-opening visit from Oregon State (Oct. 5) and the first bye precedes a Thursday game at Stanford Oct. 17.

Homecoming weekend will take place around UCLA's Oct. 26 game versus Arizona State in the first of two straight at the Rose Bowl. Colorado will visit Nov. 2 heading into the Bruins' second bye. Down the stretch, they will play at Utah (Nov. 16) and USC (Nov. 23) before concluding the regular season at home against California (Nov. 30).
