
No. 1 UCLA Advances to Pac-12 Championship Final

LOS ANGELES -- No. 1 UCLA (31-2) advanced to its third-straight Contender's Bracket Final with a 3-0 sweep of third-seed California (22-9) on Saturday morning at USC's Merle Norman Stadium.
The first wave featured flights four and five as both teams from UCLA won in straight sets. The Bruins scored the first point as senior Izzy Carey and freshman Lindsey Sparks took down the Golden Bears' Madison Dueck and Abby Waldburger in straight sets on court five, 21-14, 21-15.
Junior Savvy Simo and sophomore Lea Monkhouse put UCLA up 2-0 with a win in straight sets over Cal's Alexia Inman and Mia Merio,.21-14, 23-21.
The second wave featured flights one, two, and three from both squads. UCLA's court one pair of seniors Megan McNamara and Nicole McNamara clinched the dual with a straight-set win over California's Mima Mirkovic and Caroline Schafer, 21-9, 21-13.
The Bruins will now face No. 2 USC in the Pac-12 Championship final at 1:30 p.m. PT live on the Pac-12 Networks.
