
Pernice Jr. Coasts to PGA TOUR Champions Victory

RIDGEDALE, Mo. - UCLA alum Tom Pernice Jr., along with partner Scott Hoch, completed a wire-to-wire victory on Sunday at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf. It is the sixth career win for Pernice Jr. on the PGA TOUR Champions.
The team event featured best-ball play on Friday and par-3 modified alternate shot play on Saturday and Sunday. Pernice began the final round with a hole-in-one at the Top of the Rock course, holing a 7-iron from 175 yards out. Pernice Jr. and Hoch won at 23-under 156 to break the tournament record, winning by five strokes.
Pernice Jr., a two-time PGA TOUR winner, recorded his first PGA TOUR Champions victory since 2016. He won twice in 2014 and once in 2013 and 2009. This season, Pernice Jr. is 17th in the Charles Schwab Cup rankings.
