
UCLA Rowing to Face No. 15 USC on Saturday

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women's rowing program will compete against No. 15-ranked USC on Saturday at Ballona Creek in Marina del Rey.
Saturday's competition will be the Bruins' final races before UCLA heads north for the Pac-12 Championships on Sunday, May 19. In addition, these races will mark the final home competition for UCLA's 12 senior student-athletes.
Four races are scheduled for Saturday, with the second varsity eight (2V8+) crews set to begin at 5 p.m. UCLA will race third varsity eight (3V8+) and novice eight (N8+) crews at 5:15 p.m. Racing will continue with the varsity four race (V4+) at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity eight competition (V8+) at 5:45 p.m.
The Bruins' program will honor its 12 senior student-athletes at the conclusion of the race, with a "Senior Sendoff" ceremony scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
UCLA's Alumni Band will be performing throughout Saturday's event, along with the UCLA Yell Crew. There will be a complimentary student shuttle bus with snacks and drinks available to the first 50 UCLA students. The shuttle bus will depart from campus at 3:30 p.m. from the top of Bruin Walk, along Charles E. Young Drive (across the street from De Neve Plaza). The bus will return to campus at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Parking at the Boathouse (Marina del Rey)
Parking is not available at the boathouse on race days. Spectators are encouraged to park at the nearby Fisherman's Village (a five-minute walk from the boathouse) for $1.00, per 20 minutes. Fans can also park, free of charge, at Dock 52 (a 10-15 minute walk from the boathouse).
UCLA Marina Aquatic Center
All UCLA home races take place at Ballona Creek, adjacent to the UCLA boathouse (address is 14001 Fiji Way in Marina del Rey, Calif., 90092). The UCLA Marina Aquatic Center is located at the end of Fiji Way, behind an apartment complex.
