SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - In her previous two Symetra Tour wins, Bruin alum Patty Tavatanakit has come from behind and also cruised to a comfortable victory. On Sunday, she picked up her third win in just eight starts this summer, winning the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge in a playoff after entering the final round down by six shots.

Tavatanakit was at 5-under 205 after shooting 70-65-70 in her first three rounds at the Willow Run Golf Club. She quickly made up ground by posting a 6-under 28 on the front nine, which included an eagle on the par-5 7th and four birdies. After a bogey on the 10th and a birdie on the 14th, Tavatanakit made back-to-back birdies at No. 17 and 18 to take the overall lead into the clubhouse at 13-under 267 after posting an 8-under 62. Yujeong Son would make a birdie on the 18th to force a playoff, but it only took one hole though, as Tavatanakit made a birdie to claim the victory.

With the win, Tavatanakit moves to No. 2 in the Volvik Race for the Card season-long earnings. She won the Donald Ross Classic and the Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic in July.
