LOS ANGELES – UCLA guard Charisma Osborne earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors, the Conference office announced today. It is Osborne's first-career Pac-12 weekly accolade.
Osborne had a stellar stretch of action for the Bruins, putting up 25.7 points and 9.7 rebounds across the Bruins' three games this past week, including a pair of career-high scoring totals.
The Bruins' overtime win over Oregon State (Feb. 17) saw Osborne put up a then-career-high 22 points on 7-for-15 shooting, including four 3-pointers. She followed that performance with a monster night against Washington State (Feb. 21), scoring 32 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the team's victory. She becomes just the sixth Bruin in the last 20 years to record a 30-10 performance and the first since Monique Billings in 2017.
She finished her week with a second-straight double-double, recording 23 points and 10 rebounds against Washington (Feb. 23). Osborne averaged 25.7 points and 9.7 rebounds across her three games and drained 10 triples in the stretch.
With Tyger Campbell's recognition as the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week, the UCLA men's and women's programs swept the league's weekly freshman accolades.
