MARINA DEL REY, Calif. – The UCLA women's rowing team swept all four races against San Diego State on Saturday morning in the Bruins' first official races of the spring season.
 
UCLA's varsity eight crew edged San Diego State by 1.40 seconds, as the Bruins posted a final time of 6:42.50. San Diego State crossed the finish line in 6:43.90.
 
The Bruins' second varsity eight won its race by over six seconds, clocking in with a time of 6:59.20. SDSU crossed the finish line in the 2V8+ race in 7:05.80.
 
UCLA's varsity four crew posted a time of 7:53.40, finishing 3.20 seconds ahead of San Diego State (7:56.60). The Bruins' third varsity eight crew opened the competition with a time of 7:13.20. SDSU's third varsity recorded an official time of 7:20.10.
 
In addition, the Bruins raced one fourth varsity eight crew, posting a final time of 7:35.80.
 
UCLA will return to action against Loyola Marymount in Marina del Rey on Saturday, March 14. That will mark the Bruins' final home regatta of the spring season.
