Devin Asiasi was the first Bruin off the board in the 2020 UCLA NFL Draft Class as presented by Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. The tight end was selected by the New England Patriots on Day 2 in the third round with the 91st overall selection.

Asiasi was a starter at tight end in all 12 games in 2019 for the Bruins. He recorded career-highs across the board last season, including for catches (44) and receiving yards (641). Asiasi registered his first career 100-yard receiving game for the Bruins with five catches for 141 yards at USC, including a 53-yard scoring grab. He made a total of 13 catches on the season which went for at least a 20-yard gain. In fact, 18 of his 50 career receptions as a Bruin went for at least 20 yards. Asiasi averaged 15.6 yards per catch for his career with five scoring catches. He was a third-team all-conference selection by PFF in 2019 and an honorable mention all-league pick by the coaches. Asiasi is the third Bruin tight end selected in the last five NFL drafts (2019-Caleb Wilson, 2016-Thomas Duarte).

The 2020 NFL Draft continues on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. PT with rounds four, five, six and seven.
