UCLA seniors Josie Beyer, Fiona Buzzard and Haley Tong have been nominated for CRCA All-America honors for the 2020 spring season.

With the absence of any competitive results (or a national championship) due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will not be any first- or second-team distinction for any All-America awards in 2020. However, the coaches of the CRCA (Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association) still wanted to recognize the sport's top collegiate performers this season. While these student-athletes won't be named as All-Americans, they have earned nominations from their program.

Beyer, Buzzard and Tong all competed for UCLA in the Bruins' sole spring event in March. UCLA swept San Diego State in four races, while Beyer, Buzzard and Tong all raced in the Bruins' varsity eight crew.

In addition, Bella Alvarado, Georgia Batson, Sarah Coufal, Audrey Goodman, Lucy Holgate and Haley Tong secured CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors.

This season's CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award requirements have been modified. Student-athletes must be in their second, third or fourth years of eligibility and must be ranked (performance-wise) among the top 50 percent of their team or in the "NCAA squad." In addition, these student-athletes must have compiled a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA during their career.
