SAN FRANCISCO – The UCLA football team is set to face crosstown rival USC in the first game of the revised 2020 conference-only schedule, the Pac-12 CEO Group announced today.
UCLA opens its 10-game slate Saturday, Sept. 26 at Rose Bowl Stadium. The schedule also features meetings with the remaining Pac-12 South mates and dates with North foes California, Oregon State, Stanford, Washington and Washington State. Times and television details will be announced in the future.
The Sept. 26 date of the opener marks the soonest in the crosstown rivalry since 1945, when the programs met twice due to restrictions during World War II.

The Bruins hit the road Oct. 3, when they visit Oregon State for the first time since dealing the Beavers a 41-0 loss in 2015. A return to Spieker Field at the Rose Bowl follows Oct. 10, when UCLA and Washington State meet in a rematch of a contest that saw the programs combine for a conference-record 130 points in 2019.
The Bruins' first Friday game falls on Oct. 16, when they host defending Pac-12 South champion Utah. An ensuing desert trip to face Arizona State is set for Oct. 24. Each of the past four meetings between UCLA and ASU have been decided by 10 or fewer points.
Following their only bye of the campaign, the Bruins host Stanford Nov. 7 in search of their second win over the Cardinal in as many years. Trips to Colorado (Nov. 14) and Washington (Nov. 21) represent the only back-to-back road swing of the year. The Huskies, who last hosted the Bruins in 2017, were not on the initial version of the schedule.
Riding a four-game winning streak against the Wildcats at the Rose Bowl, UCLA hosts Arizona Nov. 28. The Bruins conclude the regular season Friday, Dec. 4 at Cal. UCLA has taken two of the last three from the Golden Bears at California Memorial Stadium.
The 2020 Pac-12 Football Championship Game will be played Friday, Dec. 18 or Saturday, Dec. 19.
