Corvallis, Ore. - No. 3 UCLA used a strong balance beam set in the final rotation to hold off No. 18 Oregon State, 197.250-196.825.
The Bruins led by .350 heading into the final rotation and slammed shut any Beaver comeback hopes with six beam routines that scored 9.85 or higher. After Grace Glenn started the rotation with a 9.925, Samantha Sakti followed with a 9.85, and Norah Flatley recorded a 9.9. Nicki Shapiro followed with a 9.875, and Felicia Hano set a new career-high with a 9.85. Kyla Ross closed it out with her second 9.975 of the meet and ninth of the season to give UCLA a season-high-tying team score of 49.525.
UCLA began the meet with a 49.325 on uneven bars. The Bruins got a pair of career-highs from seniors, with Hano leading off with a career-high-tying 9.875 and Shapiro scoring 9.775 on just her second competitive bars routine. Kalyany Steele and Flatley contributed 9.85s, and Ross came close to scoring her third perfect 10 in Gill Coliseum, finishing with a 9.975.

Oregon State trimmed UCLA's lead in the second rotation by scoring 49.4 on uneven bars, while the Bruins were totaling 49.15 on vault. Ross had the meet's high score on vault with a 9.875, and Hano contributed a second-place mark of 9.85. The Bruins also got 9.825s from Nia Dennis and Gracie Kramer.
Both teams scored 49.25 in rotation three. After UCLA had some uncharacteristic errors on floor exercise, with a fall and an out of bounds deduction, the back three of the lineup shined, with Hano scoring 9.875 and Dennis and Kramer scoring 9.925.
Hano won her second all-around title of her career, scoring 39.450. Ross won all three events in which she competed - vault, bars and beam.
UCLA (9-3, 4-2) returns home to close the regular season, hosting California on Mar. 8 and Bridgeport on Mar. 14. Tickets for both meets are on sale now at uclabruins.com/tickets.
