
Bruins Second After 18 Holes at Bandon Dunes

BANDON, Ore. - The Bruins posted an even-par 284 on Sunday at the Pacific Dunes Course at the Bandon Dunes Resort, as UCLA is tied for second after 18 holes. The Bruins are three shots back of first-place Oregon State (-3, 281).
Sophomore Bryan Wiyang Teoh was the top scorer for UCLA on Sunday, shooting a 2-under 69. He made an eagle on the par-5 12th, two birdies on No. 8 and 10 and two bogeys.
Junior Devon Bling finished strong and is tied for 10th at 1-under 70. Starting on the fourth hole, he made two bogeys in his first four holes, which was followed by 10 pars. Bling then birdied three of his final four holes (No. 18, 2 and 3).
Senior Hidetoshi Yoshihara is tied for 14th (E, 71). After making three bogeys and 11 pars in his first 14 holes, he finished with a birdie on the 18th and an eagle on the par-5 third. Junior Eddy Lai and freshman Mason Greene are tied for 43rd (+3, 74). Lai was another strong finisher, rebounding from three bogeys and a triple to make birdie on three of his last four holes (No. 3, 4 and 6). Greene made two birdies on No. 10 and 18, three bogeys and a double. Freshman Tony Hendricks, playing as an individual, is 78th (+6, 77), making a birdie on the third, four bogeys and a triple.
Round two will be another shotgun start, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Teoh will start on No. 13, Bling and Yoshihara will open on No. 12, Greene will begin on No. 14 and Lai and Hendricks will debut on No. 15.
