Sophomore guard Charisma Osborne of the UCLA women's basketball team has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, earning honors for Jan. 11-17.
Osborne had a stellar performance in No. 8 UCLA's overtime victory over No. 25 Washington State on Sunday, notching a game-high 28 points in the win. She came up huge in overtime, scoring 11 of UCLA's 13 points in the period, including a three-pointer to put UCLA ahead 61-60 and an and-one with 46 seconds left to go ahead 64-62. Osborne knocked down four three-pointers on the day and added five rebounds, three assists and one block while committing only one turnover in almost 43 minutes of game action.
This is Osborne's first UCLA student-athlete of the week award of the season and of her career.
