SAN FRANCISCO - Audrey Pak was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Pak helped the Bruins to a weekend sweep of Oregon State.
Last Friday, Pak, along with freshman Kate Lane, set the Bruins to a season-best .360 hitting percentage, as UCLA won in three. She notched 18 assists and seven digs, adding one ace.
On Sunday, the freshman recorded the first double-double of her career with 28 assists and a personal-best 10 digs, adding a pair of aces. Five of her 10 digs came in the second set, as the Bruins won in four.
Pak has 6.08 assists per set, which is 10th among Pac-12 setters, adding seven service aces and 1.44 digs per set. It is her first Pac-12 Freshman of the Week award and only the second for the Bruins this season after Zoe Fleck was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week on March 2.
The NCAA women's volleyball selection show will air at 1 p.m. on Sunday on ESPNU.
