Women's Soccer
Jessie Fleming captured UCLA's first gold medal of the 2020 Olympic Games, winning team gold with Canada soccer after a 3-2 penalty kick shootout win against Sweden.
Fleming scored the game-tying goal in the second half and converted Canada's first penalty kick in the shootout to lead the Canadians to their first-ever Olympic gold medal after earning bronze in each of the last two Olympic Games. The three-time All-American and current Chelsea FC midfielder finished the Olympic tournament with two goals, both on penalty kicks, and was 4-for-4 in penalty kicks. At just 23 years old, Fleming already has an Olympic gold and an Olympic bronze medal in her collection.

Women's Basketball
Angela Dugalic made her Olympic debut in Serbia's matchup against Team USA on Thursday evening, playing over 22 minutes in the semifinal game. Dugalic scored four points and recorded a team-high 10 rebounds, adding an assist and a pair of steals in the performance. At +3, she was one of only three Serbian players to record a positive +/- mark in the 79-59 loss to the United States.
Serbia now takes on France in the bronze medal game on Saturday, Aug. 7 at 12:00 a.m. PT on nbcolympics.com. The Serbians look to capture their second-straight Olympic bronze medal.
Men's Water Polo
Team USA snapped a four-game losing streak with a 7-6 win over Italy at the Tokyo Olympic Games on Friday. Team USA will now meet Croatia in the fifth-place match on Sunday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. local time, 7:00 p.m. PDT on Saturday, August 7. You can live stream the match on the NBC Sports app.
Irving was in the starting lineup for the seventh straight game against Italy and registered two rebounds, two field blocks, and one steal in just over 19 minutes of playing time. Reserve goalkeeper Alex Wolf did not play.
Women's Golf
With one round remaining in the women's golf Olympic competition, Patty Tavatanakit is tied for 29th, while Mariajo Uribe is tied for 51st. Tavatanakit shot a 2-under 69 at the Kasumigaseki Country Club on Friday in Japan (Thursday in the U.S.), making three birdies and a bogey to put her at 2-under 211 through 54 holes. Uribe had her best round of the tournament with a 1-under 70, making three birdies and two bogeys. She is at 7-over 220. Weather permitting, the final round for Tavatanakit begins at 6:35 a.m. JDT (Saturday)/2:35 p.m. PDT (Friday), while Uribe starts at 7:59 a.m. JDT/3:35 p.m. PDT.
