Martin was instrumental in UCLA's straight-set victories over No. 24 Colorado and No. 15 Utah last weekend, averaging 13 assists per set (78 total) at a .488 assist percentage across both sweeps. Martin now ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with 10.23 assists per set. Against Colorado, Martin recorded 42 assists (14 per set) at a .545 assist clip, tying for second-most by a Pac-12 player in three-set matches this season. Every Bruin attacker who recorded a kill in the match hit at least .368 or better. UCLA's 49 kills, averaging 16.33 per set, were the most by the Bruins in a three-set match and the highest set average this season. Martin opened the match with a set-high 18 assists. She added another 36 set assists in the Bruins' sweep of the Utes. Martin was also a point scorer for the Bruins with a combined five kills, two service aces and five block assists in both matches.
This is Martin's first UCLA student-athlete of the week award of the season and of her career.
