Juzang Named UCLA Student-Athlete of Week, presented by Ready

Junior guard averaged 22 points and six rebounds as the Bruins opened the season 2-0.

Junior guard Johnny Juzang of the men's basketball team has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, for Nov. 8-14.

Juzang averaged 22.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in the men's basketball team's first two games last week, leading UCLA past CSU Bakersfield (95-58) and No. 4 Villanova in overtime (86-77). Juzang shot 40.5 percent from the field and was 11-for-12 at the free throw line. He scored 19 points and totaled four rebounds in the season-opening win against CSU Bakersfield on Nov. 9. The Pac-12 Player of the Week led UCLA with 25 points (and recorded eight rebounds) in the overtime win versus Villanova on Nov. 12. He has scored in double figures in each of his last nine games, dating back to last season..

This is Juzang's first UCLA student-athlete of the week award of the season and second of his career.
