STANFORD, Calif. - The Bruins are tied for 18th after one round at The Goodwin at the Stanford Golf Course. UCLA shot a 12-over 292.
Senior Devon Bling was the low Bruin on Thursday, shooting a 1-over 71 (T-37). He made four birdies on the par-5 first and seventh holes and par-4 second and 15th, adding two bogeys and a triple.
Senior Eddy Lai is tied for 50th following a 2-over 72. He made a birdie on the par-5 seventh and three bogeys. Junior Bryan Wiyang Teoh shot a 4-over 78 on four bogeys and is tied for 78th. Redshirt junior Kengo Aoshima, making his Bruin debut, posted a 5-over 75 (T-88) on a birdie on the par-4 13th, three bogeys and a triple. Sophomore Mason Greene recorded an 8-over 78 (T-119), making four birdies on the par-4 fifth, 10th, 11th and 15th holes, six bogeys and three doubles.
The Bruins begin round two on Friday off the 10th tee in the order of Aoshima, Greene, Lai, Teoh and Bling. Live scoring will be available here.
