Women’s 4x4 Downs School Record on Final Day of NCAAs

Eugene, Ore. – UCLA's 4x400m relay squad was sensational on the final day of the NCAA Championships, clocking a time of 3:25.01 to set a new program record in the event. The Bruins finished third in the race and posted the eighth-fastest time in collegiate history.
The Bruins' quartet of Meleni Rodney, Makenzy Pierre-Webster, Kate Jendrezak, and Shae Anderson ducked under the previous school record of 3:27.57, set in 2003 by Sani Roseby, Sheena Johnson, Adia McKinnon, and Monique Henderson.
Rodney, Pierre-Webster, Jendrezak, and Anderson improved upon their NCAA Semifinal time of 3:27.68, which was previously the second-fastest time in program history.
Earlier in the day, Alyssa Wilson finished her NCAA week with an appearance in the discus competition. She finished 19th overall with a mark of 52.74m (173-0). Wilson finished 10th in the hammer on Thursday, competing in multiple events at the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the third time in her career.
Final Standings
LSU secured a national title on the men's side after compiling 84 points, 31 points clear of its nearest challenger. The USC women also emerged victorious, totaling 74 points for the Championships.
