Londynn Jones to Compete in High School 3-Point Championship

Competition will take place Mar. 29 and air on Apr. 3 on CBS.

UCLA women's basketball signee Londynn Jones will participate in the 2022 High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships. The 11th annual event will take place at De La Sale High School in New Orleans on Tuesday, March 29. CBS will air the event in its entirety on Sunday, April 3 at 10 am PT.

Jones, a point guard from Corona Centennial HS, is one of four competitors on the girls' side in the He Gets Us 3-Point Championship. Jones had two 40-point games this season and averaged 25.2 points for the Big VIII League champions. The No. 22-ranked recruit in the nation, Jones was selected to play in the Jordan Brand Classic and is a finalist for the Ms. Basketball State Player of the Year.

The invited players will compete in a number of different events during the competition, including the Applebee's Slam Dunk Championship, the He Gets Us 3-Point Championships, and the TaxAct Team Shootout. The winners of the Boys' and Girls' 3-point competitions will square off in the Rocket Mortgage Battle of the Champions. Competing against Jones in the 3-Point Championship are Kailyn Gilbert (Arizona), Taylor McCabe (Iowa) and Tonie Morgan (Georgia Tech).

Previous winners of the event include UCLA alumna Kari Korver, who won the 3-Point Championship in New Orleans in 2012.
