LOS ANGELES – The No. 5 UCLA softball team placed six student-athletes on the Division I All-West Region Teams, including three to the First Team. The NFCA announced the honors Thursday.
Redshirt seniors Briana Perez and Delanie Wisz and redshirt junior Megan Faraimo were selected for the All-West Region First Team. Freshman Savannah Pola and redshirt sophomore Maya Brady were named Second Team and Kinsley Washington was Third Team.
This marks the third consecutive year handing out the honors dating back to 2018 that UCLA has had at least six members named All-Region.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second and third teams selected for each region. The all-region teams were voted on by NFCA member coaches from each respective region, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to one of three 2022 NFCA Division I All-American teams.
The 2022 NFCA Division I All-America teams, voted on by the NFCA DI All-American Committee, will be announced on Wednesday, June 1.
