The Bruins open up NCAA Tournament play on Friday vs. Florida State

The UCLA baseball team was named a No. 2 seed in the Auburn Regional on Monday morning as the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee announced the 64-team field for the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

The Bruins (38-22) are headed to the postseason for the fifth consecutive season, and 13th time overall under head coach John Savage. UCLA will be making its 25th appearance all-time in the NCAA Tournament.

Regional play begins on Friday, Jun. 3 from Plainsman Park in Auburn, Ala. The Bruins open up against No. 3 seed Florida State (33-23) at 9:00 a.m. PT on ESPN2.

Host and No. 1 seed Auburn (37-19) will face off against No. 4 seed Southeastern Louisiana (30-29) in the late game on Friday, starting at 4:00 p.m. PT.

The 64-team NCAA Tournament is divided into 16 Regionals. Each Regional features a four-team, double-elimination format. All games of the Regional will be televised on the ESPN family of networks.
