Senior infielder drove in four in Super Regional sweep.

LOS ANGELES – For the second consecutive week, senior Delanie Wisz of the softball team has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, earning honors for May 23– May 30.

Wisz powered the Bruin offense with a 3-for-7, four-RBI weekend to push UCLA past Duke and into its seventh straight Women's College World Series. All three of Wisz's hits came in the form of doubles and drove in at least one run. In game one, Wisz cut the Duke lead in half with a gapper into right field. In game two, Wisz doubled in the fifth inning to recapture the Bruins' lead, and in the final at-bat of her career at Easton Stadium one inning later, she gave the Bruins a two-run cushion with another double of the center field wall to extend their lead to 5-2.

In postseason play, Wisz ranks first out of all players in the field of 64 with 12 RBI, and she also leads UCLA with a .500 batting average and is hitting an astounding 6-for-9 with runners in scoring position across Regional and Super Regional play.

This is the second career Student-Athlete of the Week award for Wisz.
