Men's Basketball Adds Game Versus Long Beach State

January 04, 2022 | Men's Basketball

The No. 5-ranked UCLA men's basketball team will host Long Beach State on Thursday, Jan. 6 at 4:30 p.m. (PT) in a non-conference contest in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom.

This game has been added to the Bruins' schedule after UCLA canceled or postponed multiple games over the past three weeks due to COVID-19 protocols either in the Bruins' program or with their opponent's program.

UCLA's game will be televised by the Pac-12 Network. The contest will be on the radio in the Los Angeles area on AM 1150, with Josh Lewin and Tracy Murray providing the call.

Thursday's game between UCLA and Long Beach State will be limited to families of team members, due to additional COVID-19 safety precautions. Guests should not come to Pauley Pavilion for the game.

UCLA (8-1, 1-0 Pac-12) previously faced Long Beach State (3-7, 0-0 Big West) this season, with the Bruins securing an 100-79 victory over Long Beach State in Pauley Pavilion on Monday, Nov. 15.

Neither UCLA nor Long Beach State have played a game since mid-December. The Bruins' last took the court in a win at Marquette on Saturday, Dec. 11. Long Beach State last played at USC on Sunday, Dec. 12, and are scheduled to face Westcliff University this Wednesday at Walter Pyramid in Long Beach.
