November 21, 2022 | Women's Basketball
SAN FRANCISCO – Senior Charisma Osborne has been named the Pac-12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 14-20.
The shooting guard put up strong performances against South Dakota State (Nov. 19) and then-No. 11/12 Tennessee (Nov. 20) to be considered for the accolade, her first of the young 2022-23 season. Osborne scored 28 points (10-for-20 FG) in a revenge game against the Jackrabbits in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis to send them to the loser's bracket in the Bahamian tournament. The Moreno Valley-native followed that performance up shooting an impressive 5-for-11 from three-point land to score 23 points against the Lady Volunteers in the second round. The Bruins clinched a spot in the championship game with the victory behind Osborne's 23 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Osborne is the Conference's second-leading scorer this season, averaging 22.4 points per game, and was shooting better than 50.0 percent from the floor (40-of-79) at time of consideration.
