Lauren Betts, Kiki Rice Make Naismith Trophy Late-Season Player of the Year Team

ATLANTA – Seniors Lauren Betts and Kiki Rice were included in 30-player 2026 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Late-Season Team, the Atlanta Tipoff Club and Naismith Awards announced Tuesday.
The Bruin center anchors UCLA on both ends; she averages a team-leading 16.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game on No. 2-ranked UCLA. Lauren Betts has a conference-leading 10 double-doubles on the season, including a monstrous 16-point, 16-rebound outing to help UCLA get past No. 8 Michigan (Feb. 8).
The point guard has scored in double figures in 24 games this season and is averaging a career-high 15.5 points per game on .509/.419/.890 splits. She secured 1,500-career points at No. 19 Ohio State (Dec. 28) and 500-career assists at No. 25 Nebraska (Jan. 11). Rice is aggressively hunting rebounds, averaging a career-high 6.5 boards; she leads UCLA with 129 defensive rebounds.
