Jaylen Clark Named UCLA Student-Athlete of Week, presented by Ready

Junior forward scored 24 points and made four steals in Bruins' victory over Denver.

Junior forward Jaylen Clark of the UCLA men's basketball team has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, for Dec. 6-11.

Clark scored a team-leading 24 points in the Bruins' only game of the week, an 87-64 victory against Denver on Dec. 10. Clark made 10 of 13 shots and was 2-for-4 from 3-point territory, finishing the non-conference win with a team-leading four steals. He totaled 13 points and tallied three of his four steals in the second half, as the Bruins raced to a 17-0 scoring run immediately after halftime versus the Pioneers. UCLA has won its last five games and has improved to 8-2 on the season.

This is Clark's first UCLA student-athlete of the week award of the season and second of his career.
