Freshman opposite Ido David and redshirt freshman middle blocker Guy Genis were selected on Monday for Player of the Week honors after helping lead the Bruins to a two-match sweep of No. 15 UC Irvine last week. He also joined Genis as a Molten/MPSFย (Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) Player of the Week selection.
ย
David totaled 39 kills last week to average over 4.0 in both kills and points per set while swinging at a .424 clip to earn conference offensive honors. They were the only aces that night for the Bruins.
ย
Genisย topped the team with a season-best six block assists and six digs in the four-set victory at UC Irvine to earn MPSF Defensive Player of the Week honors.
