
UCLA Closes Spring Season at Pac-12 Championships

LOWELL, Ore. – The UCLA women's rowing program concluded its spring racing season at the annual Pac-12 Championships, hosted at Dexter Lake, on Sunday, May 15.
The Bruins' varsity eight crew registered a sixth-place finish, as UCLA finished seventh overall in the final point totals. Stanford finished in first place in the Pac-12 women's rowing championship point totals.
UCLA's third varsity eight crew finished in sixth place, while the Bruins' second varsity eight and varsity four crews recorded seventh-place finishes.
The varsity eight crew posted a final time of 6:29.395, as the second through sixth-place teams were all within 10-plus seconds of each other. Stanford won the V8+ race (6:13.411), while Washington finished second (6:19.061), California was third (6:20.542) and Oregon State finished fourth (6:25.38). USC, at 6:26.147, crossed the finish line less than four seconds ahead of UCLA. Washington State (6:34.518) rounded out the group of seven crews.
UCLA's second varsity eight crew registered a final time of 6:42.339, as the fourth through seventh-place teams crossed the finish line within four seconds of each other. Washington and Stanford finished in first and second place, respectively, followed by California (third) and Oregon State (fourth). USC posted a time of 6:40.036, followed by Washington State (6:40.719) and UCLA (6:42.339).
The Bruins' third varsity eight crew posted a time of 6:53.00, crossing the finish line just 0.29 seconds behind fifth-place Washington State. Stanford won the 3V8+ race (6:29.33), followed by Washington (6:32.52) and California (6:40.75). USC finished in fourth place (6:44.72), ahead of Washington State (6:52.71), UCLA (6:53.00) and Oregon State (7:02.30).
Stanford won the varsity four race, recording a final time of 7:01.868. Washington (7:06.454) finished second, ahead of USC (7:10.685), California (7:17.388) and Oregon State (7:21.388). Washington State and UCLA rounded out the final two finishers in the V4+ race.
