May 20, 2022 | Women's Rowing
UCLA junior Olivia Caesar has secured All-Pac-12 Team women's rowing honors for the second consecutive season, as announced Friday by the Pac-12 Conference office.
Caesar, who hails from Bath, England, rowed in the Bruins' varsity eight crew throughout her junior season (rowing either two seat or stroke seat). She has been an instrumental part of the Bruins' rowing program, helping lead UCLA to V8+ dual meet wins against USC and Loyola Marymount and second-place finish in a day two heat at the Pac-12 Invitational.
Caesar has become UCLA's first rower to earn all-conference honors in back-to-back seasons since Saskia Budgett accomplished that feat in 2018 and 2019.
Joining Caesar on this season's All-Pac-12 team are Azja Czajkowski (Stanford), Esther Briz Zamorano (Stanford), Katelin Gildersleeve (Stanford), Caroline Ricksen (Stanford), Jenna Van De Grift (USC), Jessica Norris (Washington State), Sierra Bishop (Oregon State), Juliane Faralisch (California), Lucine Ahyi (California), Nina Castagna (Washington), McKenna Bryant (Washington) and Aisha Rocek (Washington).
Czajkowski has been honored as the Pac-12 Athlete of the Year, while Stanford's Iris Klok has been named the Pac-12 Newcomer of the Year. Stanford head coach Derek Byrnes was named the Pac-12 Coach of the Year.
