LOS ANGELES – UCLA senior Hannah Butler has been named the Pac-12 Women's Diver of the Week, it was announced on Wednesday by the league office.
Butler keyed the Bruins to a 193-99 dual meet win at UC San Diego this past Saturday, sweeping the springboard diving events. She was the lone Bruin with multiple individual event wins.
The Rochester, N.Y. native first won 1-meter with a score of 282.75, nearly 40 points higher than the field. She then posted a score of 304.87 to dominate 3-meter. It was the fifth time this season that Butler broke the 300-point barrier in 3M.
A five-time NCAA qualifier, Butler has already secured qualification to the 2023 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships this season in both 1M and 3M.
Butler and the rest of the Bruins conclude their home schedule this weekend, hosting the Bruin Diving Invitational from Dec. 13-15 as well as a dual meet against Denver on Saturday, Dec. 14. Competition will start at 10:30 a.m. each morning from Spieker Aquatics Center, and the squad's 10 seniors will be honored in a pre-meet ceremony on Saturday.
